EBEN BAILEY, 31 YEAR RESIDENT OF CITY DIES, TODAY
Funeral services for Eben Emerson Bailey, 72, who died Monday morning at 3 o'clock at his home, 501 West Morton street, were held Wednesday at the Halton-Swank Funeral Home with the Masonic Lodge in charge.  Interment was made at the Oak Ridge Cemetery with Halton-Swank funeral directors in charge.
Mr. Bailey was born at New Richmond, Indiana, January 6, 1863, son of Thomas O'Dill [sic] Bailey and received his schooling at New Richmond and Normal, Illinois.  He was married to Miss Mary Ellen Hiett at Stockwell, Indiana, December 22, 1892.  He had been in the truck and fruit business besides being a lawyer and school teacher at LaFayette, Indiana.  He has made his home in Denison for 31 years and was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
Deceased is survived by one son, R.M. Bailey of Pottsboro; one daughter, Mrs. C.T. Cole of Denison; two brothers, T.E. and J.S. Bailey, of Richmond, Indiana; one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Carter of Greentown, Indiana; and 5 grandchildren.
