as November 17, 1927 . His father signed his name as "Thomas A.
Lashley" and the mother as "Maggie Martin". The Herald Democrat November 19, 2014 Denison – Jack Windell Lashley, 85, passed away Monday, November 17, 2014 at Texoma Medical Center. A graveside service was held Thursday afternoon at Oakridge Cemetery in Denison with Rev. Jody Lee Shires of Sunnyside Baptist Church officiating. Pallbearers were Bobby Powell, Dylan Powell, Wayne Sikes, Danny Lashley, Rick Lashley and David Lashley. Honorary pallbearers were Robert Shelby, Donald Lashley and Glen Lashley. Jack was born on Thursday, July 18, 1929 in Carpenter's Bluff, Texas, son of Rev. Thomas Lashley and Maggie Martin Lashley. He served in the National Guard Reserve and was self-employed as the owner of a local service station. He is survived by wife, Linda; son, Bobby Powell & wife, Dawn; grandchildren Dylan Powell, Cody Lashley, Trina Lashley; 5 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Jack Lashley, Jr.; grandson, Daniel Lashley; brothers, Alva Lashley, Melvin Lashley, Vernon Lashley, Lloyd Lashley, and Troy Lashley; sisters, Lavanda Sikes, Evelyn Cravens, Betty Lovett, Tommie Shires and Geraldine Brooks.
