  Robert Whitehurst, better known to many as "Robby" or "Catfish" was called to his heavenly home on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at the young age of 49 years. Robby was on November 23, 1971 in Denison, Texas, son of Jack Whitehurst and Mary Ann Kirby. On February 16, 2019 he married his life-long friend and true love, Jeweleen Swink. They both loved to spent time and spoil their children and grandchildren. Robby enjoyed spending time with his vast number of cousins and family. He enjoyed gardening, grilling and camping. He had a special bond with his Uncle Donald and cousin, Mike House. Robby also had a special friendship with his lifel ong friends and in-laws, Lonnie and Louise Swink. He had so much respect for Mr. Swink that he named his son after him. Robby was a hard worker who was honored to have spent his years as a truck driver and with Nelson Brothers Ready Mix. Robby went to our Lord without knowing his sister, Becky, passed just 11 days before him. Because of their faith in our Lord and Savior their reunion was glorious. Robby was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Cathy; sisters, Becky and Jackie; as well as many loved ones. He is survived by his wife; sons, Zach Whitehurst and wife, Melissa; Lonnie Whitehurst; James McLain ; and daughter, Jessica House, all of Denison; grandchildren, Zach, Zoey, Zarianna and Brayleigh; stepfather, Clayton Kirby; sisters, Debbie Whitehurst Lamoreux; and Teresa Whitehurst of Denison; stepbrothers, Leif Emmett and Doug Emmett of Oklahoma; nephews, Jack Lamoreux, Lavar Hall, Robert Hall, Timothy Austin, Kyle Whitehurst, Ayden Whitehurst, and Jaxston Whitehurst; nieces, Michelle Lamoreux; Mararigette Hall; Randi Whitehurst; and Alexus Whitehurst; as well as a multitude of cousins, aunts and uncles, special friends with whom he shared a special bond. Funeral services were held Monday morning, February 22, 2021 at Fisher Funeral Home Chapel. Interment was held in Oakridge Cemetery in Denison.
