  Bonham, Texas - Funeral services for Janetta Mae Shelton, 77, of Bonham, Texas were Friday, October 20, 2017 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel, Bonham, Texas. Mr. Curtis Adkison provided the eulogy. Interment followed at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Mrs. Shelton passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at her home. Janetta Mae Jagjears Shelton was born August 31, 1940 in Dallas, Texas to Artie Newton and Nettie Allie Grindele Jagjears. She married James Turner "Buck" Shelton on March 5, 1956 in Dallas, Texas; he preceded her in death on April 11, 1997. Together they had four sons - James Dwayne Shelton and Natasha of Bonham, Texas; Michael Lee Shelton and wife, Kim, of Windom, Texas; Norman Clyde Shelton and wife, Kimmie, of Bonham, Texas; three daughters - MyChalyn Marie Wood and husband, Dwyane of Price, Texas; Barbara Lanetta Adkison and husband, Curtis, Sr. of Bonham, Texas; and Teresa Gail Shelton and companion Lance Frye of Bonham, Texas; 21 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; sisters - Martha Taylor of Duncan, Oklahoma and Effie Lee Backer of Stephenville, Texas. Janetta enjoyed crocheting, sewing, dominoes, gin rummy, puzzles and is of the Pentecostal faith. Serving as pallbearers were grandson - David Shelton, Cliff Shelton, Jeremy Shelton, CJ Adkison, Jimmy Prater, Lendele King and JR Shelton. Serving as honorary pallbearers were grandsons - Stephen Shelton, Justin Shelton, Jarred Shelton, Jordan Prater and Kendele King.
