Floyd Dale Simpson, 52, entered into eternal life Saturday, December 1, 2018 in Plano, Texas. Mr. Simpson was born September 13, 1966 in Denison, Texas, son of Dick and Beatrice Simpson. Floyd married the love of his life, Michelle Workman. Floyd was the best mechanic there was. Floyd and Jim started Jim Brooks Cadillac more than 30 years ago. Floyd then ran and operated the dealership for many years by himself after the passing of Jim. Later Floyd brought in family to help. Floyd then opened his own shop in Bells, Texas. He loved his family and spending time with them. Floyd enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and he especially loved his dogs and playing with them. Mr. Simpson is survived by his wife of 21 years; daughters, Melissa Simpson, Kayelene Habick, Susan Dotson and husband, Cole; Joyce Calvert and husband, Brian; Stephanie Simpson and fiance, Rodney Spence; step-daughter, Brittney Graves; step-son, Dalton Graves; grandchildren, Alysa Dotson, Coleton Dotson, Brayden Simpson, and Aiyden Habick; siblings, Peggy Gatling, Chuck Simpson, Margaret Ames, Betty Worley, Willie Simpson, and Robert Simpson. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Melba Simpson, Doc Simpson, Gary "Cotton" SImpson, Teddy Simpson, Carol Simpson; and cousin, Tommy Simpson. Funeral services were held Saturday morning, December 8, 2018 at Cherry Mound Baptist Church with Pastor David Morgan officiating. Interment followed in Oakridge Cemetery.
