DENISON - Carol Delores Turnbull, 65, went home to be with the Lord Monday, May 28, 2012 at Texoma Medical Center.

Mrs. Turnbull was born August 9, 1946 in Denison, the daughter of Clyde and Ruby (Pritchard) Ramsey. Carol retired from Wilson N. Jones Medical Center after 17 years of service. She had a love for nature with her gardening especially growing and caring for irises. But the light of her life were her beloved grandchildren. She was always happy and carefree with them. Carol was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Carol is survived by her beloved family. Children, Kenneth Smith, Dequita Virgin and husband Steve, and Carolee Smith and husband Danny; grandchildren, Kenny Austin Smith, Caleb Steward, MaKayla Virgin, Shelby Morrison and Justin Morrison; brothers, Harold Ramsey and wife Jeanie of Brownsville, and Calvin Ramsey and wife Jimmie of Denison; and sister, Jean Beavers of; nieces and nephews, Stephen Ramsey, Stacy Blackwell, Jeff Beavers, Kim O'Dell, Kenneth Ramsey, Sherry Williams and Cathy Carlton, her companion, Johnny Etheridge and best friends, Glenn Moreland, Angie Moreland, Sally McCommon, and Barber Brown.

Mrs. Turnbull was cremated according to her wishes. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, June 1, 2012 at Oakridge School with visitation to follow.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home, located at 604 W. Main in Denison.
