Crit Markham, 51, farmer residing on route 3, died at his home near Des Voignes at 2:50 a.m. today following an illness of 9 months.  Funeral services were conducted at 4 p.m. today from the Oak Ridge Methodist church, Rev. Chester Mosse officiating.  Interment was at Oak Ridge, Short-Murray directing.
Mr. Markham was born at Bonham, March 8, 1888, son of Mr. and Mrs. Houston Markham.  His schooling was received in Fannin county and he was a member of the Church of Christ.
Surviving are his widow; mother; 3 sons, G.W., R.C. and C.H. of Denison; and 3 daughters, Mrs. Eva Weaver, Mrs. Jack Ramsey and Mrs. Neva Dea Evan, of this city.  Three grandchildren also survive.
Brothers are H.G. Markahm of Durant, Oklahoma; H.M. of Los Angeles, California; and sisters are Mrs. Edith White and Mrs. Gale Armstrong of Durant, Oklahoma
