Jasper
Newton Turner was born December 1850 in Cooke Co., Texas; he died in
1931 in Grayson County, Texas at age 80 years. Interment followed
in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Grayson County, Texas. Jasper Newton married twice. He married Mary E. Miller in Cooke County, Texas, June 16, 1870; Mary was born in 1851 in Missouri; she moved with her family to Texas in 1853. Mary E. died between 1874 and 1876 at 22 years of age. Their children were; Joseph Richard Turner, born November 23, 1872 in Cooke County, Texas John Wesley Turner, born October 20, 1874 in Cooke County, Texas; he died in 1953 and was interred in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Grayson County, Texas Jasper Newton married Elizabeth L. Crenshaw on December 17, 1876 in Cooke Co., Texas. Eliza was born in March 1850 in Alabama, daughter of John and Rebecca Crenshaw. Eliza died in 1930 in Grayson County, Texas at the age of 80 years. Interment was at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Grayson County, Texas. Their children were: William Jasper Turner, born February 19, 1878 Effie L.
