April 27, 2011 Sherman - Funeral services for Thomas William Stockslager were held Thursday, April 28, at Waldo Funeral Home. Rev. Bob Softly of the Friendly Church of Christ officiatined at the burial with military honors at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Pallbearers were Richard Taylor, Keith Jones, Kenny Calhoun, Don Thompson, Dennis Green, John Lamb and Charlie Martin. Mr. Stockslager, 62, passed away Monday, April 25, 2011 at his home in Sherman. He was born October 8, 1948 in Sherman to the late Dave and Dorothy (Barnes) Stockslager. Thomas graduated from Sherman High School in 1967 and attended Grayson County College. He joined the U.S. Army in 1968 and was discharged as a Sergeant in 1975. Thomas worked as the service manager at Day Computer and later at the Sherman Post Office. He retired from Proctor & Gamble/Folgers where he had worked as a utility technician. Mr. Stockslager is survived by his wife, Tish, of Waco; two stepsons, Chad Wolf of Wylie and Nathan Wolf and wife Melissa of Silo, Oklahoma; three grandchildren; one brother, David Stockslager of Terrell; four nephews and two nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings, Ann Crowder, Alan Stockslager, and Michael Stockslager. Mt.
