  Jessie Merle Cox Hodge, 90, passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Texoma Medical Center. Funeral services were held at Waldo Funeral Home Friday morning, September 24, 2021. Brother Charlie Ellison officiated. Burial followed at Mt. Zion Cemetery near Collinsville, Texas. Jessie was born March 7, 1931, daughter of Joe Jasper Cox and Lucy Ruth Crowsey Cox in Cooke County, Texas. At a young age, she accepted Christ as her Saviour at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. As an adult she became a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Sherman, where she was a member for 61 years. She married Raymond Hodge on October 26, 1949. She is survived by her son, Raymond Dale Hodge and wife, Martha; daughter, Brenda Scott; grandchildren: Genia, Susan, Amanda, and Raymond Lee; great-grandchildren, Brandy, Anthony and Holly; and great-great-grandchildren, Adrian, Zoey, Zayn, Kelsey and Brinley. Jessie was preceded in death by her husband; and her parents; one brother; and two sisters.  Mt.
