Joye was born February 9, 1931 in Comanche, Oklahoma to GC and Addie (Gentry) Liles. She married Curtis Tisdale October 1, 1961. She was a realtor in Dallas and Grayson County for many years. Joye was a beautiful, independent, smart woman with class, from her shoes to her trademark clip on earrings for every outfit. Joye had a strong love of family, gardening and flowers of every kind. She had a knack for garage sale steals, a love of antiques, lipstick, her cats and diet coke. Her family admired and respected her independency, confidence, and even her sometimes brutal honesty. She is finally at peace in heaven at the right hand of Jesus, with her personality and memories restored. Mrs. Tisdale leaves behind her beloved family, son, Stephen Curtis and wife, Jan, daughter, Melissa Manning and husband, Rodger, son-in-law, Jerry Plummer, daughter-in-law, Wanda Curtis, granddaughters, Sunni Marrs, Shelli Ragle, Angel Russell and Tiffany Manning, grandsons, Robby Maxvill, Chris Curtis, Kendall Curtis, Hunter Cummings, Clint and Seth Curtis, and Trevar Manning, sister and brother-in-law, June and O. G. Hammond and sister-in-law, Wanda Liles, numerous nieces, nephews, friends and dog, Molly. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Gordon Liles, son, Mike Curtis and daughter, Patricia Plummer.
