- Funeral Services for Maudie Lou Phelps, 86, will be held at 2:00 P.M.
Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Mt. Tabor in Sandusky with Rev. Joe
Patterson officiating. Services are under the direction of Meador
Funeral Home in Whitesboro.
Maudie passed away on Monday, February 15, 2010 at Whitesboro Nursing Home. She was born on December 14, 1923 in Sandusky, Texas to L.V. and Anna Lee (Moran) Phelps. She was of the Baptist faith and spent most of her life in Ft. Worth as the owner and operator of her own beauty shop. Survivors include her son, Jimmy D. Ray of Springtown; 3 grandchildren, Terry Griffin of Conroe, Mike Ray and Carla Garrett, both of Springtown; 2 brothers, L.V. Phelps of Whitesboro and Steve Phelps of Franklin Tennessee; 4 sisters, Patsy Neasbitt of Sadler, Claudine Morrow of Emory, Janie Godsey and Odell Renfroe, both of Whitesboro.
