John York   PFC.
JOHN YORK, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam York of Van Alstyne route 2,
has been in the army two years and in the Southwest Pacific one year.
He trained in the infantry at Wamp Walters before going to Hawaii and
then to the Dolomons. Private York is now on a rest leave in the
Pacific area. He is a 1933 graduate of Howe high school.
