Thursday, June 24, 1971 pg. 1 MEMORIAL SERVICES HELD FOR LT. COL. SKIPWORTH Memorial services were held Sunday in Omaha, Nebraska, for Lt. Col. Billy L. Skipworth at 3:00 p.m. in the SAC Memorial Chapel at Offutt Air Force Base, with Chaplain A.B. Jamison officiating. Chaplain Jamison is a former pastor of the First United Methodist Church here. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William R. "Bill" Skipworth of Bells. Mr. and Mrs. Skipworth attended the memorial services and were accompanied by their daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Harrison French of Bells. Lt. Col. Skipworth attended public schools in Bells, Arlington State College and Austin College and graduated from Louisiana Polytechnic Institute. He is survived by his wife, the former Irene Kent of Whitewright; a son, Tim, and a daughter, Lynn; and a sister, Mrs. Harrison French of Bells. The Lt. Colonel's parents were notified last Friday that there were no survivors from the crash of the C-135 Air Force Jet Transport that vanished in the Pacific with 24 aboard on a flight from Pago Pago American Samoa on June 13. Also attending the memorial services were Mrs. Skipworth's brothers and their wives, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Kent and Mr. and Mrs. Edward C.
