Clarence Pace, a truck driver with the American expenditionary forces in France, sees little prospect of his early return home.  He thinks he will be assigned to the army of occupation.

Afton Cates is among the Whitewright boys who have been on the firing line in France. He is with the 30th Division, but has not been heard from for several weeks.

Joe Pace came in recently, having received permanent discharge from the officers' training camp at Camp Joseph E. Johnston, Jacksonville, Florida.
