Charles E. Chambers The Denison Herald
Monday, November 7, 1921 pg. 7 DENISON MAN IS AMONG THOSE MOVING SUPPLIES A Denison boy, Cpl. Charles E. Chambers, 718 N. Rusk avenue, is among those who are members of the mobile quartermaster trucking company keeping the supplies moving with the armies in France, according to a communique received by the Press this week from the European theatre of operations. Mobile trucking companies like the one with which Cpl. Chambers is connected, have been the answer to the increased transportation problems brought about by the rapid advance of U.S. mechanized forces. Longer supply lines have meant increased transportation, and, although every available means - rail and truck - has been utilized, it has been necessary to fill-in schedule gaps with mobile units.
