The Van Alstyne Leader Mrs. Emma Charlotte ThomasOctober 28, 1937 pg. 8 Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Charlotte Thomas, age 62, were held at Burke with Rev. Stanley of Melissa officiating. Mrs. Thomas died last night at 10:35 at Wilson N. Jones Hospital in Sherman. Interment was in the Burke Cemetery with Fox-Fanning in charge of arrangements. She was married July 11, 19-- to B.W. Thomas in Colorado and came to Texas with her husband 2 years ago, settling at Burke. She was a member of the Baptist church for 4 years.
