Braxton, age 34, resident of New Orleans, Louisiana, and former resident of
Denison, Texas, died Monday, March 16th, 2009 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He
was born on April 29, 1974 in Denison, Texas. His parents are Mr. Michael
Braxton and Rosie Braxton.
Mr. Fernando Braxton attended Denison High school, and graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, Oklahoma, with a degree in music followed by postgraduate studies. He is survived by his father, Michael Braxton; his mother, Rosie Braxton; his brother, Michael Braxton Jr. (Tabitha); and his sister, Shaterra (Reginald) Cameron; grandmother, Lillie Mae Wofford of Denison and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral services were Monday morning, March 23, 2009, at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, 1615 S. Travis, Sherman, Texas. His father, Michael Braxton, was the eulogist. The burial followed at Magnolia Cemetery in Denison, Texas. All arrangements were under the direction of American Funeral Services, 4312 W. Crawford St., Denison, Texas. Denison - Funeral services for Rosie Lee Braxton were held Thursday, August 9, 2018, at Parkside Baptist Church in Denison. Her husband, Rev. Michael Braxton, officiated. Burial followed at Magnolia Cemetery with her nephews and cousins serving as pallbearers. Services were under the direction of James Smith and Waldo Funeral Home. Mrs. Braxton, 69, passed away Thursday, August 2, 2018, at Texoma Medical Center. Rosie was born February 12, 1949 in Denison, daughter of Clifton Hogan, Sr. and Washie DeHorney Hogan. Rosie loved sports, playing tennis, basketball, softball and cheerleading. She worked several years at Boise Cascade, but her passion was ger walk with the Lord. She was a devout Christian who loved her church, especially studying her Bible and teaching Sunday School. She is survived by her husband of over 45 years, Pastor Michael Braxton, Sr. of Denison; daughter, Shaterra Cameron and husband, Reginald, of Denison; son Michael Braxton, Jr. of Denton; five grandchildren; brother, Clifton Hogan, Jr. of Denion; sister, Nancy Bryant and husband, Earl, of Denison; aunt, Dorothy Kelly of Denison; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Topsy; son, Fernando Eugene Braxton; and brother, BIlly Hogan.
