Minnie
Samantha Orviss Riddle was the daughter of Rev. G.B. Orviss and Mary Moseley
Orviss of Walker Co., Texas. She married John H. Riddle, son of
Henry Riddle and Adaline Norvilile Riddle of Cumberland, Virginia, on
April 1, 1890 in Erath Co., Texas; they had one child, Roscoe Conklin
Riddle.
Minnie and John migrated to Grayson Co. before 1900 where she lived until her death. In addition to being a homemaker, Minnie assisted her husband in his shoemaking business, taught school and assisted her son in his medical practice.
