  Charlene Wright 1942 - 2017 Charlene
was born December 21, 1942 in Denison, daughter of Charlie and Lou
Annie Wright. She grew up in Denison and received her formal
education by attending Terrell public school. At an early age
Charlene united with Quinn Chapel AME Church along with her family and
remained until her demise Saturday, August 26, 2017, in Mullican Care
Center.
Charlene had served many years as a caregiver to many people in the Denison area prior to her longtime illness. She leaves a loving family with fond memories: daughter, Carla Morrison of Sherman; sons, Kevin Grant and Maurice Grant, both of Denison; sisters, Legessie Horn and Barbara Snell, both of Denison; Theresa Shumpert of Los Angeles, California; brother, Richard Wright of Denison; 4 grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. The Home-Going celebration was held Friday morning, September 1 in the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, Denison. Rev. Jerry DeHorney was Host Pastor. Burial followed on the grounds of Magnolia Cemetery in Denison. Services were entrusted to James E. Smith and the professionals of Waldo Funeral Home.
