  Lillie Tommie Bryant 10 July 1948 - 7 December 2012 The Herald Democrat December 14, 2012 Denison - Lillie Tommie Bryant, 64, went home to be with the Lord Friday, December 7, 2012 at Baylor Medical Center, Dallas. Mrs. Bryant was born July 10, 1948 in Denison, daughter of Octavia Ruffins. She married the love of her life, Earl Bryant, on September 26, 1972; they were married for 40 years. Mrs. Bryant is survived by her husband; sons, Christopher Marcel Bryant and wife, Belinda Ann; and Eric Nigel Bryant; daughter, Carla Michelle Bryant-Houston and husband, Willie Ray, Jr.; grandchildren, Willie Ray Houston, III, Ashley Dawn Houston, Phebe Camielle Houston, Joel Michael Houston, Eric Bryant, Jr.; one great-grandchild, Layla Marie Houston; siblings, Clarence Ruffins, Tommie Golston, and Velma Ruffins; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bryant was preceeded in death by her mother; sisters, Fayrine Ruffins Luper, Christene Chetman, and Ethel Mae Ruffins; brother, Wilburn Ruffins; and sister, Ezella Marie Birdow. Funeral services were held Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Greater Coffey Memorial COGIC with Rev. Kenneth Gwinn officiating. Pallbearers were Thomas Brownlee, Joe Rors, Willie Houston, Jr,, Joel Houston, Stacey Goldston, and Reggie Hines. Arrangements were under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home, Denison.
