  Ms. Betty Evon Hill 19 March 1941 - 15 January 2018  The Herald Democrat January 28, 2018 Denison - Betty Evon Hill was born March 19, 1941 in Denison, Texas, daughter of George Cornell and Juanita Johnson. She was raised in Denison and educated in the public school system. After graduating high school, Betty went on to Beauty School where she received her cosmetology license. Later in life, Betty worked for Quality Home Health for several years. She was a strong, independent woman. Betty loved the Lord, her family and helping others. On Friday, January 19, 2018 [sic] Betty entered peacefully into eternal rest. Awaiting her in glory are her parents and brother, Thomas Johnson. Left to cherish her precious memories are her children, Beatrice Owens, Reggie "Bart" Owens, Carlos Owens and wife, Karen; Calvin Hill and wife, Sabrina; brothers, Tony Johnson, Tommy Johnson, Taurus Johnson, Jewel Johnson; sisters, Rosetta Blanton, Brooksie Patterson, Mary Johnson, Evon Johnson, Angel Johnson; 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; several nephews and nieces as well as many other relatives and friends. Services for Ms. Hill were held Saturday at Antioch Baptist Church in Denison followed by interment at Magnolia Cemetery in Denison. The Owens family is under the personal care of the Craven Funeral Home in Sherman, Texas.
