Damon Earl Johnson 7 April 1978 - 15 October 2015 The Herald Democrat October 23, 2015 Denison - A Celebration of Life for Mr. Damon Earl Johnson, 37, of Denison, was held Saturday afternoon, October 24, 2015, at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Denison. Rev. Herbert E. Smith officiated with the eulogy by Dr. Darnell Wagner. Burial followed at Magnolia Cemetery, Damon Earl was born on April 7, 1978 in San Diego, California, son of Charles Levy Johnson, Jr. and Rosalind Butler. As an "Army brat", he received his education while living in San Diego and Kingwood, Texas and was a member of the Denison Yellow Jackets Class of 1996. Damon Earl was employed by Champion Cooler for many years and also worked for Denison Industires. He spent his past-time watching sports and especially enjoyed rooting for the Oakland Raiders. He loved spending time with his friends and family. He was a fun-loving individual that always found a way to brighten a room and make people laugh. On Thursday, October 15, 2015, Damon Earl entered into eternal life. He leaves to cherish his memories: fiancess, Tyra Nugent; daughter, D'Aira Johnson; mother, Rosalind Wagner and husband, Darnell; brother, Alonzo Prince; sisters, Teressa Butler and LaToya Johnson; grandparents, Marguerite Butler and Geraldine Perkins; and many other relatives and friends.
