DENISON - On November 21, 2010 God called one of his angels home, Opalane Harian-Clark, 86, passed away at the Homestead of Denison surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Clark was born April 29, 1924 in Hendrix, Oklahoma, the daughter of Clyde and Mable Harian. She lived there until she married Nester Clark Jr. on July 14, 1955. The Clarks then started their lives together in Denison. Opalene was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church where she was a Deaconess and served in the choir. She also was an affiliate of the Eastern Star. Opalene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Mrs. Clark is survived by her beloved family: husband of 55 years, Nester Clark; brother, Claude Harian and wife, Barbara Joe; sister-in-law, Sylvia Harian (wife of late Dean Harian); and an aunt Sylvester Shaw; daughters, Christina, Gloria-Jean, Carol Anne, Maddlyn and husband, Michael; Nannette and husband, William Sr.; Gail and husband, Donald; and sons, Patrick and Gary. She was blessed with 28 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 9 great-greatgrandchildren, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Mable Harian; daughter, Patricia; sons, Thomas Ray and James Ray; brothers, Cletus Fields, Clyde Harian, Clarence Harian, Coydell Harian and Dean Harian; and sisters, Velma Dawson and Jackie Harian.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, November 26, 2010 at Hopewell Baptist Church with Pastor C. E. Evans officiating. Interment followed at Magnolia Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home, located at 604 W. Main in Denison.




Nester Clark, Jr., 94, was called to his heavenly home Monday afternoon, September 24, 2018 at Medical City Hospital in Plano.
Mr. Clark was born April 30, 1924 in Denison. Texas. son of  Nester Clark, Sr. and Pearl Bryant.  He attended Anderson Elementary and Terrell High School and long after these schools closed, he was an active participant and patriarch of the historical Anderson-Terrell reunions.
Mr. Clark accepted Christ at a young age and faithfully served as a choir member, on the deacon board, usher, finance committee, and cheerfully accepted any duty for any occasion called upon.  He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army with an honorable discharge in 1943.  He married the love of his life, Opalene Harian, July 14, 1956 and diligently supported his family through employment and retired from Safeway Plant.
The real wealth of his success he leaves to cherish his memory are his children: Gloria Harper, Christine Jones, Carol Ann Jewett, Maddlyn Harian, Nanette Green (Bill), Gail Douglass (Donald), Patrick Clark, and Gary Clark; sisters, Freddie Brown and Odessa Howard; brother, Earl Bryant, Jr.; 28 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; one great-great-great-grandson; host of nieces and nephews and friends.
Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his wife; children, Patricia Clark and Thomas Ray Clark; his parents; brothers, Joe Ross, Sr. and Gilbert Clark; sisters, Lillie Mae Wofford and Vera Mae Price.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, September 29, 2018 at New Hope Christian Baptist Church in Denison with Rev. E.C. Evans and Rev. Michael Braxton officiating.  Interment with military honors followed at Magnolia Cemetery in Denison.  Arrangement were under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home. - - - Fisher Funeral Home
