Ramon
L. Walker, Sr. was born November 16, 1964 in Denison, Texas, son of
Granville Sr. and Marie Walker. He was affectionately nicknamed
"Skipper" as a child, but years later his many friends shortened it to
simply "Skip." His high school graduation took place as a member
of the Denison High School Class of 1984. Ramon voluntarily enlisted in the U.S. Army on September 5, 1984 and served honorably, reaching the rank of Specialist. He ended his military tenure in favor of other pursuits on September 4, 1989. He was an employee of Tyson Foods for 12 years. Ramon will be fondly remembered as a staunch friend, superb mentor, and loving family member, whether spouse, sibling or other kin. He was and shall always be renowned for his golden smile, compassionate heart, generous spirit and incredible zeal for the simple joys in life. Some of his favorite pleasures included being a die hard fan of the San Francisco 49ers football team, repeated vacationing in the Bahamas with his wife, interacting with his children and grandchildren, fresh water fishing and making mouth-watering barbeque in his front yard.
