March 4, 2010 DENISON - Dollie Ruth McDonald, 82-year-old Denison resident, died Sunday February 28 2010 in Denison. Services were held at Saturday morning at Antioch Baptist Church in Denison. Officiating was Rev. Manuel Gardner, pastor of the church. Burial followed at Magnolia Cemetery. Surviving are her daughters, Brenda McFail of Houston and Regina McDonald-Chumley of Denison; sisters, Tommie Williams of Grand Prairie and Margaret Bell of Gladewater, Texas; one grandson and one great-granddaughter. Brenda Joyce was born July 23, 1946 in Denison, Texas, daughter of Louis Taylor, Sr. and Dollie Carreathers-McDonald. She was educated in the Denison public schools and worked for Texas Instruments for ove r40 years. After retirement, Brenda enjoyed her pastime cooking for and spending time with her family and friends. She was a "down to earth" person that "told it" just like it was. On Wednesday morning December 23, 2015, Donna went peacefully home with the Lord for Christmas. She will be deeply missed and remembered by her granddaughter, Jakendra Childs of Houston; brothers, Lewis Allen Taylor of Wichita, Kansas and Terry Taylor of Denison; sisters, Regina McDonald of Denison; Carolyn Gordon of Colbert, Oklahoma; Bonnie Santos and Glyniece Santos, both of Wichita; nephew, Dominique Johnson of Denison; aunt, Margaret Bell of Gladewater; God-son, Matthew Orem of Houston; and God-sister, Gladys Smith of Sherman.
