March 1, 2009 Burleson - Judy Karen Collins Vavrin, 53, a retail owner, died Monday, February 16, 2009 at her home in Burleson. Memorial service was held Saturday afternoon, March 7, 2009 at the Mountain Valley Funeral Home chapel. Judy was born September 30, 1955 in Clelburne, daughter of J.M. Collins, Jr. and wife, Mary Dell Lea. Judy was the second of 4 sisters. She graduated from Joshua High School in 1974. Judy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She married John Vavrin on June 15, 1973 in Burleson. They had a son, Randy and a grandson, Joshua. Judy had many great friends across the USA and many winter Texan friends across the Rio Grande Valley. She spent much of her winters at her home in Donna, Texas. Judy was an avid collector of angels and owls. She enjoyed traveling and shopping at trade shows. Judy loved spending time with her family and especially her grandson, Joshua, who was her pride and joy. Survivors are her parents; husband of Burleson; son, Randy Vavrin and wife, Patty, of Arlington; grandson, Joshua Vavrin; sisters, Sharon Hawkins of Joshua; Gay Morris of Burleson; and Kathy McGlothlin of Cleburne; 4 nieces and nephews, plus many extended family and friends.
