Milly passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas In loving memory of a barely hidden angel in disguise, we write these paltry and entirely inadequate words, to honor Mildred Henry. She was born Mildred Kisselburg, on August 21, 1949, to Annie Opal and Robby B. Kisselburg, in Turkey, Texas. Milly was preceded in death by her parents, one sister (Helen Holbert), one brother (Tommy Arnold Kisselburg), and ten beloved children (including John Ray and Amy Jo) who were lost to miscarriage. Left behind to grieve and wait are her devoted husband Ray Henry, of Sadler, and their children?Janella Henry, of Sadler; and Crystal Michelle Woods, and her husband Gerald, of Sherman. She is also survived by seven siblings?Frances Henry, of Gordonville; William Henry Kisselburg, of White Settlement; Dorothy Kisselburg, of Gordonville; Janet Fahnert, of Amarillo; Darlene Golden, and Roberta Ritchey, of Gainesville; and John Kisselburg, of Comfort. The numerous nieces and nephews, as well as her adopted daughter, Trina Page, who ate at her table and learned at her knee, will forever have a Milly shaped hole in their lives. Out of ten children, Milly was the seventh born, and the last to be born at home. At a simple ceremony, in her Childress home, she married the love of her life on, March 18, 1967. Milly?s joy was her family, and every family member who has ever been held in her embrace knows what it means to be treasured. She made home a place of refuge and truth, faith and victory. This woman of simple tastes and lowly attitude never gave anything less than extravagant love; and she inspires the same, in all the lives she touches. The only career that Milly ever wanted was to be a wife and mom. For her, the work was never a duty. To be known as ?Ray?s Wife?, or ?Janie?s Mom?, or ?Crystal?s Mom? made her feel proud, not hindered. Milly never strove to shine, in her own right; and that made her light even brighter. She was and is the wind beneath our wings. Our world is darker, because she is gone; but we will be reminded that she is always with us. We will know that most thoroughly each time we follow her example, lean on The Lord, and soar (Isaiah 40:31). Pallbearers are: Chris Ritchey, Jeremy Henry, Tommy Lee Kisselburg, David Henry, Robert Golden and Randall Golden. Honorary Pallbearers are: Deacons of First Baptist Church of Whitesboro.
