Friday, November 15, 1957 pg. 3 Funeral services were held at Bratcher Funeral Home Monday afternoon, November 11 for John Robert Gay, 75, of 115 E. Walker, who died at 415 W. Morgan Saturday at 12:55 a.m. after 2 months of illness. Rev. Wayne Imboden officiated and interment was in Macomb Cemetery with Bratcher in charge. Mr. Gay was born in Alabama November 14, 1881, son of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Gay. He formerly worked for the city schools for years. Later he was employed in Houston at Anderson-Clayton Company. He retired 18 months ago and returned to Denison. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church. Survivors are 3 sons, Arthur Gay and John W. Gay of Denison and Loyal D. Gay of St. Louis; a daughter, Mrs. Ida F. Casey of Ringeld, Georiga; a brother, Mose Gay of Camden, Arkansas; a sister, Mrs. Abbie Barber of Bakersfield, California; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
