Robert L. Mullins 27 February 1922 - 28 October 1993 Corporal US Army WWII Purple Heart Corporal Mullins was a World War II Army Veteran who received the Bronze Star, Purple Heart and the Presidential Unit Citation. Robert was born in Lohan, Texas the son of Claude Jay & Virgie Lee Mullins. On December 18, 1945, he married Anne Lee Mullins in Brownwood, Texas. After moving to the Sherman,Texas area, he was employed in the shipping Department of Montgomery Ward for several years. He later worked for the Grayson Association Youth Camp on Lake Texoma and lastely as a Security Guard for Burns Security in Sherman. He was a member of Loving Baptist Church and served as a deacon for 40 years. He was survived by his wife of almost 48 years; son, William C. "Bill" Mullis of Sherman; daughters, Glenda Sue Jacobs and Patsy Ann Mauldin, both of Sherman and Bobbie Elaine Price of Mount Pleasant; brother, Wilbur Lee Mullins of Sherman, and David Edward Mullins of Huntsville; sister, Mary Edith Roberts of Brownwood, all in Texas; and two grandchildren. Services were held at the Loving Baptist Church, the Rev. L.D. Scally officiated.
