  Sostenes 'Slim' Yara 6 March 1932 - 17 November 1985 h/o Geneva Denton Yara Geneva Dale Yara (September 25, 1925 - June 8, 2012) FRITCH,
TEXAS – Graveside services are scheduled for Geneva Dale Yara, 86,
formerly of Gordonville, Texas, at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 12,
2012, at the Liberty Cemetery in Gordonville, Texas with Douglas Andrew
Rawlins officiating. All service arrangements are under the direction
of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro, Texas. Geneva passed away in
Amarillo, Texas, on Friday, June 8, 2012. She was born on September 25,
1925 to Lonnie Andrew and Ora (Matthews) Denton in Cedar Mills, Texas.
She married Sostenes Yara in Las Vegas, New Mexico. She started her
career as a nurse in 1954. She was an excellent cook. She also loved
antiques. She is survived by her sons: Budge Rawlins of Perryton, TX;
and Bo Rawlins of Shamrock, TX; daughters: Susan Elms of Murchison, TX;
Geneabeth Wilson of Amarillo, TX and sister, Zelma Lee Skinner of
Mesquite, TX; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by her husband, Sostenes Yara; and her parents,
Lonnie and Ora Denton.
