OK - Funeral Services for R.J. "Smitty" Smithey, Jr. will be 10:30 A.M.
Thursday, May 26, 2005 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will
follow in Liberty Cemetery in Grayson County. Visitation will be from 6
to 7 P.M. Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at the funeral home.
Mr. Smithey passed away Monday, May 23, 2005 at Mercy Memorial Health Center in Ardmore, OK. Smitty was born January 17, 1938 in Elmer, OK to R.J., Sr. and Mamie Ruby (Southerland) Smithey. He was a fishing guide and owned C & S Bait Shop in Willis. He also worked for Wonder Bread for around 30 years. Survivors include his wife, Karen Miller of Willis; children, Brian Smithey of Alva, OK, Tracy Spainhour of Merriam, KS, Jackie Conklin of Leander, TX, Michael Miller of Orofina, ID and Kimberly Miller of Round Rock, TX. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Christie Belveal and an infant sister.
