2 May 1923 Kendall, Sherman, Texas "Mrs. Eva L. Kendall, 80 years old, a widow for forty-nine years a resident of Grayson County, died at her home, ten miles west of Sherman, Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock after a short illness. Mrs. Kendall's husband died twelve years ago. He was one of the old settlers of Grayson County. A son, Ret. T. Kendall, and a daughter, Miss Fannie Kendall, both residing at the family home, survive her. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home, conducted by the Rev. O. T. Cooper, presiding elder of the Methodist Church. Burial was in Kendall Cemetery, north of Southmayd.
