October 14, 2010 SHERMAN - Funeral services for Christopher Neil Campbell, 45, of Sherman will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010 at the Promise Land Church, 801 E. Lamar, Sherman, Texas with Pastor Larry Flenniken officiating. Burial will follow at Kendall Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home. He passed away on Monday, Oct. 11, 2010 at the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital-WNJ in Sherman. Chris was born on Aug. 29, 1965 in Houston, the son of John Lee Campbell and Clara Jean Roberts Campbell. Chris was a founding member of Promise Land Church. He was a very active member and truly loved his church family. He also loved fishing, hunting, golfing and spending time outdoors. He is survived by his son, Christopher John Campbell of Southmayd; mother, Jean Lowe and husband Ronnie of Dorchester; father, John Campbell and wife Tara of Lake Livingston; brothers, Michael Abernathy, Chad Lowe and wife Melissa, Justin "Tator" Campbell and Jesse "Spud" Campbell; sister, Michelle Thompson; stepdaughters, Melinda Foglesong of Waxahachie, and Melanie Crawford and husband Blake of Edmond, Okla. Chris is also survived by his brother-in-law, Tod Michel; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles and numerous friends and other family. He was preceded in death by his sister Sheri Michel. The visitation will be held from 10 -11 a.m. at the Promise Land Church.
