Kathryn Galyon Watson, 85, of Southmayd passed away Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010 at the Collinsville Care Center.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010 at Waldo Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Blain officiating. Interment will follow
at Kendall Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 -8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be John "Hoss" Watson, Jim Watson, Josh Boyd, James Dixon, Rico Neely, and Manuel Escamilla.
She was born Sept. 25, 1925 in Bells to Charlie Wesley and Nannie Ooten Galyon. She married Johnny Watson April 18, 1947 in Leonard. Kathryn was a homemaker and a member of Southmayd Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, doing word puzzles and her grandkids.
She is preceded in death by her husband Johnny, daughter-in-law Margaret "Brian" Watson, parents, 8 brothers and two sisters.
Kathryn is survived by her son, John Watson and wife Carol of Munford, Tenn.; daughter, Martha Kay Boyd and husband Larry of Irving; stepson, Robert Watson of Leonard; grandsons, John "Hoss" Watson, Jim Watson, Josh Boyd; granddaughters, Kim Watson Neely and Lindsey Boyd Escamilla; great-grandchildren Taylor Watson, McKenzie Neely, Evan Watson, Amanda Vespremi, Cortney Sarver; and one great-great-grandson, Harley Vespremi.
Arrangements are under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman.
