  Ida B. Price 1926 - 2018  Denison – Ida Beatrice Price was born January 26, 1926 to parents, Isom and Nancy McCain. She was the youngest of six children. Ms. Ida graduated from Terrell High School in 1945. She married Isaac Winters Sr. and they had 3 children; Isaac Jr., Michael and Nancy. She later married David R. Price. Ms. Ida has been a member of St. Emanuel Church of God in Christ for over six decades. During those years she has been a very faithful, dedicated and active member. She was the first teacher of the Young Women Christian Circle, a longtime choir member serving as vice-president and acting president under M. Thomas, Prayer Band Leader, Communion Committee Leader and Sunday school teacher. She also held two auxiliaries under the tutelage of Pastor J. Neaul Haynes. She was installed as Church Mother, August 8, 1999, which she so proudly and lovingly held. She so dearly loved her St. Emanuel family. Ms. Ida could just talk to you and give you just what you need; God uses his people. And was she a songstress – powerful and spiritual, she could bring the house down. Deeply compassionate to everyone, she would give you nuggets of wisdom and tell you to put it in your alabaster box and when you need it. Mother Price was a living example of a deeply dedicated Christian lady. Encouraging words to all, one of her sayings was, “Pray always because if you stop praying, you have lost it all” and “He won’t take you to it unless he’ll take you thru it”. In her testimony she always said, “The Lord is my satisfied portion.” She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings; Laura, James, John, Fannie and Henry. Mother Price is survived by her children Isaac Jr. (Dorothy), Michael and Nancy; five grandchildren, Isaac III, Shelly, Billy Jr., Marquita and Salena; seven great-grandchildren; nephews and great nieces and nephews. Mrs. Ida B. Price ascended to her Heavenly Father early Sunday morning, (Mother’s Day) May 13, 2018 from the comfort of her home at the blessed age of 92 with her children by her bedside. The Home Going Celebration will be Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 11 A.M. in the St. Emanuel Church of God in Christ, 411 N. York St., Denison, TX with Elder Larry Polk Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Jeremiah Cemetery, southeast of Denison. Mrs. Price will lie in repose Friday, May 18, 2018 from 11 A.M. to 7 P.M. in Waldo Funeral Home for public visitation.
