MARY ROLEN, 67, DIED TODAY AT BELLS Bells - Mrs. Mary Rolen, 67, a sister of John Isom of Denison, Texas, died at her home here at 9:45 p.m. today aftern an illness of two days. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the home. Burial will be in the Isom Cemetery north of Bells. Other survivors are one son, Floy Rolen of Bells, five daughters, Mrs. Henry Francis, Mrs. J.E. McHone, Miss Pearl Rolen, Mrs. D.H. Smith, all of Bells and Mrs. J.B. Bays of Southamyd; three sisters, Mrs. Jake Rice and Mrs. Ira Rice of Sherman, Texas and Mrs. Sue Fields of Oklahoma; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Rolenw as born June 17, 1884 in Tennessee, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Isom. She came to Grayson County 31 years ago. He husband, Pink Rolen, died three years ago. ROLEN DIES AT BELLS Bells - Mrs. Mary Rolen, 67, a natvie of Tennessee and a resident of Grayson County for the past 31 years, died Tuesday at her home in Bells about 9:45 a.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the late home. Burial w ill be in the Isom Cemetery, directed by Barrett Funeral Home at Sherman. Mrs. Rolen was born June 1 9, 1884, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J.W. (Nancy Fields) Isom. She came to Texas at the age of 12 years. Survivors include on son, Floyd Rolen, Mrs. Henry (Ola) Francis, Mrs. B.H. (Jose) Smith, Mrs. J.E. (Willie) McHone, and Miss Pearl Rolen, all of Bells and Mrs. J.B. (Maude) Baze of Southmayd; one brother John Isom of Denison; and three sisters; 15 grandchildren and give great-grandchildren. Sherman Democrat WILLIAM PINK ROLEN Bells, Texas - Funeral services for William Pink Rolen, 82, a retired farmer who died at his home in Calamus community, were held in his home at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 8, 1945. Rev. E.L. Silliman, retired Methodist Minister of Sherman, Texas, conducted the services. Burial was in the Isom Cemetery, directed by the Talley Funeral Home. Grandsons of the deceased acted as pall bearers. Mr. Rolen was born December 27, 1863 in Lincoln County, Tennessee. He came to the Bells community when he was a youth. He later moved to the Calamus community where he resided for the past 24 years. He was a member of the Methodist church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary (Isom) Rolen; a son, Floyd Rolen of Bells; five daughters; Mrs. B.H. Smith, Mrs. J.H. Francis of Bells; Mrs. J.E. McHone, Mrs. J.B. Baze of Sherman and Miss Pearl Rolen at home; a son and a daughter by a former marriage, Charley Rolen (Roland) of Ontario, Oregon and Miss Ruth Rolen (Jimmie Hamilton of Bowie); a brother, Elmer Rolen of Sherman; 17 grandchildren; one great-grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews.
