also known as Pool Cemetery
located off Pool Road near Hwy. 691

This Cemetery was in an area called "Honey Run", located southwest of Denison, and was the burial ground for Iron Ore Creek Baptist Church, which was established in 1871.   The area was known as the Ellsworth Community of Grayson County, according to the official county plat maps.
This African-American cemetery, 0.614 acres, contains mostly unmarked graves.  (Vol. 36, Pg. 52)  It is located in an overgrown field, just east of Pool Road and north of FM 691, between Hwy 75 and Texoma Pkwy.

Vol. 36, Pg. 52

The abandoned road was reopened as "Pool Road" from Hwy.  691, going north toward Simon's Cemetery.

*The Iron Ore Cemetery, located behind Texoma Medical Center hospital was restored in 2020-2021.  A ceremony was held Wednesday morning, May 5, 2021.   A lot of headstones were found that were not previously listed online on the Grayson County TXGenWeb site.
