Thursday, August 27, 1925 pg. 1 Clay Francis, who had formed acquaintances and friendships here during his connection with athletic games and otherwise, died Wednesday at his home west of Ida and south of Sherman. Young Francis taught school at Ida for 2 years after finishing the regulation high school course, and during the past winter was a student at T.C.U., Fort Worth. He was stricken with typhoid fever in a malignant form about 3 weeks ago, which caused his death. The funeral and interment will be at Holloway Cemetery near Celtic this Thursday afternoon at 4 o'clock.
