  James Jarrell Witherspoon, 50, of Sherman, Texas, went home to be with Jesus on November 13, 2012. James was born in Carthage, Texas, the son of Jarrell and Jimmie Witherspoon. He moved to Sherman when he was eight months old. James attended Sherman schools and graduated with the class of 1980. James accepted Jesus as his Savior at an early age. He was a member of the Parkview Church of Christ. He married the love of his life, Patricia Ann Low on November 25, 1983. They were blessed with 28 wonderful years of marriage. James worked at Tom Thumb, Burlington, Super Sack, Texas Reel and several other places. He loved life and all the holidays with his family. James was such an inspiration to all of his friends and family. He loved his truck, his dog Spanky, and working in his shop. He is survived by his wife Patricia Witherspoon, his son James T. Witherspoon and his daughter Amanda Witherspoon, both of Sherman. Daughter by choice, Michelle Oom of Sabetha, KS, parents, Jarrell and Jimmie Witherspoon, sisters; Jan Thompson and Jill Hoover and husband John, brother, Joel Witherspoon and wife Cyndi, all from Pattonville, Texas Also, many special nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. We invite you to a celebration of his life at Parkview Church of Christ on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Welton Stoker officiated. Interment was at Holloway Cemetery, Luella, Texas. Pallbearers were be Shane Morton, John Hoover, Randy Hoover, James T. Witherspoon, Joel Witherspoon and Daniel Low.
