  Stella M. McDermett 4 July 1943 - 8 March 2008 Jimmy W. McDermett 6 October 1937 - wed 5 June 1961  The Herald Democrat May 31, 2013 Jennifer June McDermett, age 42 years and 22 days, passed from this world on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. at Parkland Hospital, Dallas, Texas after three months of struggling with an inoperable cancer. Funeral service was held at Dannel Funeral Home in Sherman on Saturday, June 1 at 10 a.m. with Welton Stoker of Parkview Church of Christ officiating. Interment followed at Holloway Cemetery. Pallbearers were Gary Taylor, Joey McDermett, Dalton Ringquist, Tyler McDermett, Phil Peters, Arther Parolini. Honorary pallbearers were Bill Lawson and Jacob Hazouri. She is preceded in death by her mother Stella (White) McDermett, who passed away in 2008. Jennifer is survived by her father, Jim McDermett of Gunter; three brothers, Walton Lee McDermett and wife Jo Dee of Forney, Michael Wayne McDermett and wife Kristi of Sunnyvale, and David Wade McDermett of Mesquite; seven nieces and four nephews, one great-nephew as well as numerous aunts and cousins.
