Brenda C. Low 11 November 1940 - Lynn H. Low 9 May 1937 - 7 February 2017 wed 24 July 1959 Lynn Howard Low, 79, passed away on February 7, 2017 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, surrounded by his family. Lynn was born in Tom Bean, Texas on May 9, 1937. He was the middle of Floyd Atlas Low and Reva Holloway Low. Lynn grew up and attended school in Tom Bean, graduating in 1956. He then attended Texas A&M University from 1956-1958, majoring in horticulture and was a member of the Corps of Cadets. He married the love of his life, Brenda Carlene Ball, on July 24, 1959 in Sherman, Texas, where they began their life together. Lynn began his 25 year career with Gibson Discount Center, after briefly working for the Sherman Democrat and the Texas Highway Department. In 1964, Lynn and Brenda moved to Seagoville, Texas when Lynn was asked to join the Advertising team in the Gibson Corporate Offices. He later became a buyer, traveling to New York and overseas to Taiwan and Hong Kong. Due to the health of Lynn and Brenda’s fathers, they moved back to Sherman with their children in 1985 and shortly thereafter opened the family business, Gardenland Nursery. After 21 years of working side by side, Lynn and Brenda retired in 2007 to the ‘farm,’ where Lynn enjoyed gardening, fishing, yard work and the countless visits from his children, grandchildren, and friends. Lynn also loved deer hunting with his son in areas of West Texas and annual hunting trips with lifelong friends. When his son turned 10, he was ‘officially’ old enough to join the group for the big annual hunting trips. Lynn and Brenda spent many years creating the ‘Park,’ as Lynn called it, where they spent a good deal of time enjoying sunsets and God’s amazing countryside. Their love for entertaining at the farm included the annual barbeques for family and friends, along with events with the Parkview Youth Group. Lynn was a member of the Parkview Church of Christ of Sherman, Texas where he served as an elder and taught Bible classes. He also served on the Board of Directors for Medina Children’s Home and Good News Network. Lynn is survived by his wife of 57 years, Brenda Ball Low of Sherman; their three daughters and one son, Candace Galbraith of Carrollton, Teresa Renfro of Dallas and Russ Renfro of Iowa, Shelly Hart and husband Jon of Arlington, Brad Low and wife Tammy of Tom Bean; 4 grandchildren, Jennifer Renfro, Trevor Renfro, Hayden Low and Aly Low; brother Harold Low and wife Alice of Sherman; and many extended family members and loved friends. Lynn’s family would like to thank the Doctors and the 5th floor nurses, and aides at Texoma Medical Center for the love and care they showed him the past several weeks.
