September 6, 2012 Graveside services for James Frank Hartwig who passed away on Monday, September 3, 2012 in Temple, were held 11 a.m. on Thursday at Holloway Cemetery. Pastor Leland Samuelson officiated. Military Honors were accorded. Dannel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Shirley M. Hartwig The angels in heaven rejoiced as Shirley was received into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 26, 2003. Shirley M. Hartwig was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 4, 1924, the daughter of Ramah (Moore) Lyerla who preceded her in death in 1999, victim of Parkinson's disease. ... Shirley's life was one of service. She faithfully served her Lord Jesus, her family and all those friends who were privileged to share her sweet loving spirit that radiated God's love. Shirley was an accomplished artist, working in both oils and acrylics. Myriad pictures grace the homes of family and friends as an expression of her love and affection for each one on some special occasion. Shirley was a member of Hyde Park Baptist Church, Austin, Texas. God is merciful and His grace is sufficient to sustain His Children – Praise His Holy Name! It is the desire of the family that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Gideons International, "the gift that keeps on giving", or to the Parkinson's Foundation. The memorial services were held at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home and Chapel (Austin, Txas) on Wednesday, July 30th at 10:00 a.m. Graveside services were held at the Holloway Cemetery (Sherman, Texas ) on Thursday, July 31st at 2:00 p.m. Ronnie Pennell, relative of the Hartwig family, offered the eulogy. Pallbearers were: Buddie Ball, Gary Ball, John David Ball, John Ball, Leroy Eaton, and Ryan Merignac. Arrangements by Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 N.
