   The Herald Democrat December 14, 2011 Allen Ray Folsom, 62, of Leonard passed away, at Red River Regional Hospital of Bonham, on Saturday, December 10, 2011. Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 15, at Holloway Cemetery. Pastor James Crawford of Cornerstone Baptist Church officiated. Allen was born July 6, 1949, in Claremore, Oklahoma to Allen Edward Folsom Sr. and Evelyn Frances (Pierce) Folsom. He was educated in Oklahoma schools. Allen served in the Marine Corps from 1968 to 1970 and was in the Marine Corps Reserve until July 18, 1974. He was a Vietnam veteran. Allen later worked in the Sherman Foundry and retired from his job as a steel worker. Allen is predeceased by his parents Allen and Evelyn Folsom and stepfather Thomas Holloway, sister, Delois Cummings. Allen is survived by his companion, Wanda Napier; daughter, Kristal Gayle Folsom of Sherman; sisters, Joann Auldridge of Cartwright, Oklahoma and Faye Gabriel of Sherman. Several nieces and nephews. Allen is also survived by his dog "Hank" whom he was very fond of. Pallbearers were Stacy Gabriel, Steven Folsom, Stuart Ackley, Josh Lott, Tracy Hess, Derrell Cummings.
