  C.L. Dillard 21 June 1968 - 28 August 2008  The Herald Democrat August 29 - 30, 2008 Sherman - Funeral services for Christopher John Dillard were held Saturday, August 30 in the Tom Bean Church of Christ. Butch Balzen officiated. Burial followed at Holloway Cemetery with Butch Balzen, Kyle Price, Brad Harper, Kerry King, Adam Lashbrook and Greg Counts serving as pallbearers. Mr. Dillard passed away August 28, 2008 at his home in Sherman. C.J. was born June 21, 1968 in Dallas to Mitch and Judy Harper Dillard. He was a graduate of Plano Sr. High and attended Sam Houston State University. C.J. worked in sales at Home Depot. He was especially fond of his nieces and always enjoyed his time with them. He also enjoyed the ocean, scuba diving, and was an avid football fan. C.J. was a member of the Tom Bean Church of Christ. Mr. Dillard is survived by his father of Estero, Florida; his mother, Judy Smith of Whitewright; sister, Cherae Balzen and husband, Butch, of Whitewright; aunt and uncle, Jon and Kathy Harper of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; cousins, Brad Harper of Oklahoma City and Jennifer Harper of El Paso; nieces, Faith and Kennedy Balzen of Whitewright; grandmother, Lottie Navarre of Memphis, Tennessee; step-sisters, Sonya Atchley and Selisa Koss, both of Birmingham, Alabama; and numerous extended family.
