  The Herald Democrat May 14, 2013 SHERMAN - Funeral services for John Robert Cummings, 60, of Sherman were held at 10 a.m.Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at the Waldo Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed at the Holloway Cemetery in Luella. Rev. Rob Sheppard of East Sherman Baptist Church officiated. Arrangements were under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman. John passed away on Friday, May 10, 2013 at the Sherman Healthcare Center. He was born on October 5, 1952 in San Antonio, Texas, the son of Charles and Novella Cummings. John graduated from Sherman High School. He had a great love for riding motorcycles especially his Harley. He also loved his job as an Electrician working for the IBEW 20 Union. John became a Christian at a very young age. He is survived by his mother, Novella Cummings of Sherman; two sons, John Christopher Cummings and wife Sherri of Frisco, and Jason Michael Cummings of Sherman; one brother, Gary Cummings and wife Mindy of Sherman; two grandchildren, Ella and Eyan Cummings. John is also survived by his nephew Micah Cummings and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents. Pallbearers were John Paul Cummings, Tommy Thompson, Ronny Thompson, Clayton Cummings, Dylan Tinajero and Micah Cummings.
