Thursday, August 16, 1923 pg.1 JIM A. HALL DIES FROM GRADE CROSSING INJURIES Sherman, August 13 - Jim A. Hall, 39 years old, a resident of the Luella community all of his life, died at 6 o'clock Monday morning in Sherman from injuries sustained in a grade crossing accident at Luella Thursday afternoon, without having regained consciousness. A fracture of the skull near the base of the brain was the injury which resulted in Mr. Hall's death. In addition he sustained a broken right collar bone and numerous bruises as a result of the accident, which occurred when Mr. Hall drove his automobile onto a grade crossing in front of a Cotton Belt motor car at Luella.
