Cecil Morris Cunningham, 83, passed away on July 31, 2022 after a battle of a quick spreading cancer that attacked his body. Cecil w as born June 4, 1939 in Hannibal, Missouri, son of Lonnie and Helen Perkins Cunningham. After graduating from high school, he proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. While stationed at Perrin AFB in Sherman/Denison area of Texas, he met Patricia Marie Blythe. Shortly after, they married and had their first son, DeWayne. Four years later they had twin sons, Clinton and Kenton. After being honorably discharged from the Air Force, he had a career as an airplane machinist at Dallas Airmotive, where he would stay until retirement. A fun fact about Cecil is that even though he served in the Air Force for four and half years and 40 plus years as an airplane machinist, he has never flown in an airplane his entire life. After retirement he moved away from Dallas and back to Denison. He got a house with two and half acres of land. He enjoyed sitting on the back porch reeding the rabbits, birds, geese, squirrels and enjoyed watching the roadrunners run by. There was always something to see on the back porch. The family is honoring Cecil's wishes with heavy hearts and there will be no services. The family has agreed for his cremains to be laid to rest at Holloway Cemetery in Luella, Texas, with his wife, Pat, who he was married to for 60 years. - - - Fisher Funeral Home Patricia Marie Blythe Cunningham of Denison, Texas, passed away at home on January 22, 2020.
