Howe, Texas - Michael Edward Holloway, 68, of Howe, Texas, went to be with the Lord Saturday, September 4, 2019 at his residence.  Michael was born August 19, 1951, son of William C. and Agnes B. Holloway in Sherman, Texas.
Michael graduated from Sherman High School in 1970 and served his country proudly for 7 years in the United States Army.  Michael married the love of his life, Mary Jane Perry in March 1976 and was married over 43 years.  He retired from Johnson & Johnson in 2001 after being employed for 29 years.
When his children, Cathy & Will, were in high school, he loved helping them in the FFA, and in recent years he would also help his grandchildren.  Michael, was also into hunting and fishing.  He was an ambitious, considerate, courageous, and passionate man.  
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife; daughters, Cathy Boone and husband, Justin, of Calera, Oklahoma; and Amy Goggans and husband, David, of Denison, Texas; son, Will Holloway and wife, Amy, of Tom Bean, Texas; sister, Billie Jo Belknap and husband, Lewis, of Sherman, Texas; grandchildren, Nicki Henry and husband, Nathan, of Trenton, Texas; Derrick and Calee Boone, of Calera, Oklahoma; WIll, Alexa and Weston Holloway of Tom Bean, Texas; Ashely Goggans of Denison, Texas; great-grandchild, Blain Henry of Trenton, Texas; nieces, Susan Holt and husband, Vance; and Kimberly Palmer and husband, Greg Michael.  He is also survived by a "Brother from another Mother" as they would say, Gene Patterson of Van Alstyne, Texas.
Graveside services were held Thursday morning, September 19, 2019 with military honors at the Holloway Cemetery.  Pastor Roy Layman officiated.  Gene Patterson, Steve Carol, Jimmy Don Patterson, Mike Patterson, Lawrence "Rocky" Rockins, Neely Howery, Nathan Gray, Justin Blackwell, Jaycob Miller, and Tyler Goff served as pallbearers.  Services were under the direction of Scoggins Funeral Home, Van Alstyne, Texas.
