Thursday, July 9, 1959 pg. 1 Funeral services for Lofton H. Grammer, 73, were held Tuesday afternoon in Wise Funeral Home at Bonham. He died at 4:50 a.m. Sunday in a Bonham hospital of a heart attack. Services were conducted by Rev. Billy Barr and Rev. Doan, Church of Christ ministers. Burial was in Holloway Cemetery near Tom Bean. Pallbearers were Lois Wallace, W.M. Mashburn, Ted Davidson, Jim Caraway, Buddy Stevens and Ben Bell. Mr. Grammer was a former resident of the Whitewright community for many years, having moved to Telephone 9 years ago where he was manager of Coffee Mill Lake. He was born August 14, 1886, son of N.R. and Viola Whitsell Grammer. He married Miss Gussie May Johnson in 1906. Survivors are his wife; 3 sons, Noel Grammer of Fayetteville, Arkansas; V.L. Grammer of Van Alstyne route 1; and Bill Grammer of Dallas; 2 brothers: Jess Grammer of Telephone and Mike Grammer of Iowa Park; a sister, Mrs. Owen Brown of Perrin; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
